Had American Family for $69/month ~ switched to State Farm, $14/month. Both full coverage.

I went with state farm after getting a ton of quotes over the internet. In New Jersey, State Farm is by far the cheapest if you have a clean record. I'm 28 and pay 380.XX a year for full coverage, including comp and collision with $500.00 deductibles and uninsured/underinsured for my 04 F4i. Geico quoted me at well over $1,700.00, which is nuts.

What some of you probably don't realize is most people who have a great rate on motorcycle insurance also have OTHER things on the same insurance policy, like a car or renters insurance or house insurance. State Farm (here in WI) will not insure a motorcycle by itself, for example. Tyler's experience is not a foreign one - I know plenty of people who have gotten full insurance quotes that were double that of their car.

Myself, I go through Progressive for the bike only, and pay around $25 a month for liability. Not a rate I'm pleased with, but it's the cheapest for my situation.

How many of you guys bragging about your low insurance premiums have ever had to use your insurance due to a wreck/theft/etc? I have Nationwide. I always had them for auto and have had 2 bikes with them since I bought each one. I wrecked the Honda last year and they gave me a check for $3,300 and this year my rates even went down. I pay about $650 a piece for each bike and that's with top quality coverage including high dollar protection for uninsured and underinsured motorists (illegals).

My truck has had multiple windshields replaced with zero out of pocket costs.
