Inspection
How strict are they when your bike needs its state motor vehicle inspection? I live in NJ and am wondering how I'm going to pass since there are mods on my bike that are not street legal.
ha the inspection stations in nj are a joke for motorcycles
those guys have no idea what they are talking about.
when i went they had like 7 people looking at my bike "inspecting " it they tried to fail me for a headlight out i had to explain to the guy what difference between low beam and high beam was.
they tried to fail me for my helmet saying it was illegal (they took pictures of it and everything), when its dot and snell approved.
they tried to fail me for not having flashers.
other than that they had no problem passing me
and i have flushmount turn signals upfront and led short stalks in the rear, and a hollow micron pipe

That rule only applies to cars. There is no such thing as a smog check for motorcycles in CA.
Yup... the law says out-of-state bike's cannot be registered in califonia until they hit 7500 miles. It's to protect CA motorcycle dealerships by preventing you from buying a new bike out-of-state.

i have never done one before so im no help
