Sup guys (n gals). New to the 2 wheel world. Bought an '01 F4i at a police auction for $1500. Been ridin it for a couple months now [sm=smiley16.gif] This site is great, you guys already helped me figure out my hydrolocked prob. when my bike tipped over and spilled oil all over the ground (and in my head)[:@]. It broke the mirror too, but one of you guys sent me one for free TYVM ceresia. Anywho, here's my latest prob. I just went outside to start my bike (like I do every day) to keep my weak *** batt charged, but the key wouldn't go all the way in. I finally got it in but it wont turn nor will the cylinder depress. It is in the locked position, which according to other posts, means that I cannot simply just replace the ignition. I think someone tried to gank it.[sm=shootshoot.gif] WTF do I do. Besides park it in a buddy's garage. I'm not tryin to steal anybodies bike (like the other posts are cryin bout) I just wanna get my bike runnin again. (not like I can ride it now, in the snow) It's just one more projectfor the winter. Oil change, tires, brakes, 520 kit, new battery, new front fairing, flush mounts up front, dual headlight mod, pass peg led mod, more leds, and now ignition replacement.

 

Alright, I got the damn thing to turn, so I don't need any "theft" advice, I just need to replace my ignition, and lock set. So thanks to all for the great advice. NOT

 

Yea i know sometimes my F4i has a hard time getting out of the steering lock mode.
