Default carb probs??

hey been having a bit of trouble with my 2000 cbr 600f4, at first, i was getting lagging and it was running like there was water in the gas, but i drained the tank put new 91 octane gas in it and thought i ran out the water, i filled it many times and now know its not water, it seems it work awesome till about 30 or 40 kms (not sure how many miles) then it starts running crappy and sounds like i am not getting enough gas or something (again running like water in the gas) would a air filter, fuel filter or fuel pump, be the simple problem, or does it sound like a vaccuum problem, carb jetting or setting/cleaning, i am pissed its the middle or the ride seaon. what other things could be checked before carb jetting and cleaning. Thanks if anyone can help, and ask questions if u had similar problems and sorted them out.

Does it lag when you are trying to accelerate??? Yet it runs good at idle??? Did you ever check the spark plugs??? Bad ignition could cause that same incedent and I don't care how good the gas is you put in it, the issue will remain. I would also go as far as checking the coils, one could have gone bad and that may in turn cause the issue too.

The only way I would really point at gas if you could see water in it???

Well keep in line with the ignition.. Coil, splark plug wires, spark plugs, even the ignition switch.. I know that may sound crazy, but it could be an electrical fault. Also make sure your ventilation going into your gas tank isn't clogged. At higher RPM's if the gas tank doesn't have proper ventilation the carb/injectors will have a hard time feeding fuel to the engine. Ya know?? Try sucking water out of a straw with your finger plugging the other end. Yup.. That would cause it to lag hard core. A pinched vaccuum hose would do that quick, so would a clogged fuel filter or weak fuel pump. Maybe those will get u in the ballpark.
