Thanks for all the input brosifs

It's not so much that I don't have the mechanical knowledge, Im pretty good at learning and figuring things out and I love projects, I think Ill wait a while until I do the streetfighter look if ever...but if I do..It's going to look good. No half-a$$ stuff.

Off topic - A guy offered me his black 2007 RR with 7k miles on it in MINT condition all stock for my bike plus $2000 in cash.....Ugh...I've been in this situation so many times now and I can never pull the trigger (bc I love the F4i so much but LOVE the 07+'s)

But basically, given $5,500 is appropriate for the 07 RR, that means my minty mint mint would only be sold for $3,500! It just doesnt feel right...and she'd never forgive me ; (

This is all relative though. Bike valuation is like woman valuation. They sounds awesome on the interwebz... then you get stuck at a nice restaurant with a troll hoping you can sneak out and not have to pay! Just sayin...

If you want to go streetfighter, don't tear that minty piece up. Find a mid 90's beater and start from there. Check out customfighters.com for some good base ideas.

Your bike + $2k?

Doesn't matter where you live...negotiate that down.

Ya I had him down to $1500 then slept on it, told him no way, cant do it...

2 random questions...and yes I searched

1.) When do the spark plugs on the F4i tend to need to be replaced? I'm sure I'm on the stock plugs...what symptoms would I see with bad/starting to go bad plugs?

2.) With the screws as tight as they'll go, my bar ends still spin and jiggle a toad..is this normal? I assumed the bar ends should tighten down snug and not move?

Get new bar ends or screws.
I bought a cheap pair before off of ebay and d2moto and the things actually fell off while riding, and would constantly jiggle before that.

Invest in a good set.

i paid 3600 for mine. its an 01 with 10k on it, and i got it so cheap cause it was slightly rashed up. decent amount of scrapes on the plastics and the stator cover is scraped up pretty badly. but if it was mint, id have expected a 4k-4.5k pricetag on it in the condition, with the mileage and the year. and mine has a two brothers slip on that i bought it with. id have offered him 1k-1.5k on top but DEF not 2k. wayyy too high

So the bar ends should NOT have any play/allowment to spin 180 degrees each way? They should be snug and stationary? I was told different (that they will always spin 180 even when screwed down as tight as possible)?
