So according to the manual I should have one blinking light before its time to get gas. Well I had 4 blinking lights. Did I read it wrong or is my bike just special?

 

maybe four means you really need gas! and one just means that you should probalby get some soonjk. I'm not sure i have an f4 =but its kinda funny. You should restart a new trip everytime you fuel up.. then you know how many miles you can get on a tank and won't have to worry about it.

 

My buddy had one that I rode from time to time. It has a reserve gauge which comes on when there is 0.9 gal remaining in the tank. It starts off as 4 solid bars, if you don't fill up,first one flashes, thentwo, then three, then four and you're out of gas.

 

Four solid bars, goes down to 1 solid bar, then it goes to 4 blinking bars and down. 1 blinking bar means you better be damn close to a gas station.

 

First you encounter the 4 solid bars meaning you are now running on .9 gal reserve. As each solid bar goes down until the last one ALL 4 bars will blink, which is the last stage before you have 0 gas. And by the time you have 4 blinking bars you probably have ~5 miles to get to a gas station quick.

 

haha, ive been on four blinking bars plenty of times...man, you guys talk about murdering pucks or going 140mph+? four blinking bars is where its at!!! man, what a rush, lol...but yeah, i just start tucking super low and start backing down to 55-60mph when im blinking two...bet i look so silly whenever it happens, hehe...

 

I'm confused the manual shows the reserve bars decreasing from 4 3 2 1 0 Indicating at 0 bar I'm outta gas. But whatever now I know. Which I would have known that before I got stuck in the middle of the night.[:@]

 

That's why i always carry an extra bottle of gas with me in my pocket where ever i go.
