So stupid me buys an undertail kit for my bike. Looks awesome, lights works great.


No license plate holder. So i order one that goes on the side of the bike.


Everything sounds great. I'll throw everything in the back seat in case i get pulled over....



So i do on my way to work and the key won't open the seat. i set it up too tight and i think the wire came out. Not only did i get a ticket for going 10 over [sm=boosign.gif], but a no licence and no insurance.


So... in turn I have a question. Does anyone know how to break into a back seat of an F4i without breaking anything? [sm=Awwww.gif]

 

this kind of looks bad now that i think about it. lol. I guess i'll just take it to the shop.

 

theyve got a little hook tool they use at the shop. you'll see when you get it in there, but I would recommend taking the front seat off, and trying to go in that way, you need to hook the cable above the bolt, and just pull man. GL.

 

yea go through the front seat!!!

 

My undertail comes off w/o taking the rear seat off. If yours does, pull if off and just let it hang for a second, then reach in and pull the cable that goes to the pass. seat.

 

Yup...my cable when I bought the bike wasn't attached so I removed the undertail clips, pulled the fiberglass piece out and I had full access underneath to open my seat then hook it all up properly!

 

thanks guys. I got the plate out. I tried bending a hanger and pulling the wire with it. I'll give it a new try with taking the front seat out. :love:
