the power commander is there to make your engine run properly. your stock ecu is only able to compensate so much when it comes to air/fuel. normally, the ecu is just fine. when you start adding a slip/full system thats when the pc is needed.
a pc will give a couple of hp but not alot. its there to smooth everything out. the only way to know if your engine is running right WITHOUT putting it on the dyno is with a wide band commander. personally, i like the wide band route vs. the dyno route. its able to log 10 minutes of REAL WORLD riding.

Worth every penny. Even if mine breaks I will buy another one.

one thing i can say...get it only if you're gonna use the power and go fast.
I have a lot of friends with bikes... some race, some don't. the ones that race love PC's. the ones that don't race sold theirs because they didn't exactly make full use of it.

I just installed one on mine with my micron carbon high mount and I can tell a huge difference. I don't have a surge at idle and great throttle response. Best money I have spent, exept for my gear of course.
