Humidity vs. Temp?

Humidity vs. Temp?
I was wondering if humidity had any roll in making a bike run hotter than it should. It has been very humid out here which has made my bike run hotter. sitting in traffic i'll get to about 235, and then moving i'll be at 200, should i be looking at other things or what? Thanks

What mods do you have on your bike? -
I know I put a K&N in my f4i, along with the "Engine Ice" coolant, and I actually have problems keeping it warm now...lol. I'll run in a gas station come back out and it'll be running at like 140deg. But if running hot is your problem, I highly suggest both those items.

RE: Humidity vs. Temp?
Humidity definitely plays a role in engine operating temps. When the air is humid, it is less dense. It therefore does not atomize as efficiently as dry air. This decrease in efficiency will incrrease your engine temps.
I don't know what temps the bike is supposed to run at, but 235 seems hot to me. I would still look into your cooling system and make sure nothing is F'd up.

RE: Humidity vs. Temp?
I just started looking around a bit in this forum, and it looks like 235 degrees is well within the accpetable heat range for this bike. I wouldn't worry about a thing.
If you're really concerned, you can add a small switch-operated fan in front of the radiator, just to keep the engine cooler at stoplights
