I don't have the 2006 manual, but I did download a copy of the '04' manual. I assume the idle speed should be the same. 1300 RPM. Does this sound right? Or do some of you set it a little lower? Just want to know what is best for my stock engine. Oh, and I live in Sunny San Diego, best year round weather, and riding in the States!

Funny you say that, since I changed my stock pipe out, I have had my rpm at just over 1000 myself. 1300 just seems to high to me now. Difference in pipe I guess?

Oh, And I did not say amazing roads, I said best weather and riding year round! I love SD, and I am glad to be back! Just moved back here from Miami Beach. Loved the Beaches, boating, and *****, but the riding sucked A$$ in Miami.

They ARE amazing roads, they just aren't in the best of condition for being in such nice weather. You really want to know potholes? Come to NY.
