how do you higher front forks?

Default how do you higher front forks?

when i bought my bike the previous owner lowered the front forks about 6 inches and i want to higher it back to stock height.. thanx for the help

You have to suspend the bike from the frame some how. Ideally you would want a triple tree stand; it lifts the bike with a pin inserted where the steering stem mounts to the frame. When I had to raise mine I used a come-a-long and a chain wrapped around the top triple; not ideal but it worked. Then you have to loosen the bolts that hold the forks to the triple tree. Then the fork tubes should move freely within the clamps.

You can also use jackstands under the motor-to-frame bolts to hold it up while you mess with the front end. I put rags over the tops of the stands and used ratchet straps from stands to frame and to keep the stands together so they wouldn't spread. It was fine like that for over a week.

I'd check the rear for lowering too.

I can't see someone dropping the front and not the rear.

nope rear is stock height.. i said the same thing myaelf
