How to clean chain lube from plastic?

Default How to clean chain lube from plastic?

Well,lubed the chain too much I guess, and now around kick standsome nasty mess [8D]Any suggestions on how to clean it without damaging the fairings?

well.....i use bug remover made by Harley Davidson....cause thats what we have around my dads shop. i use it to remove anything on the bike, bugs, grease dirt whatever. works very well.

dont use chain lube. my buddy bought honda chain lube once and it was slingin everywhere. I use chain wax. it never splatters.

he uses chain wax now too.

wow i use PJ1Blue its made here in AZ its awesome you put on to revolutions worth and wipe the rest off unlike the others were is says to put a moderate amount which means like half the can and to remove excess i use spray polsih which takes off everything and anything its good stuff i get mine from cyclegear in the brand i use is motoboss which is there brand i dont like chain wax dirt/grime tends to stick to it more than the lube in my experience

I use Maxima Chain Wax and always get some lube on my bottom part fairings just around the kickstand. When I clean it, I use WD-40.

try to keep away from chemicals that eat paint/plastics i dont know how harsh wd-40 on paint is but for sure keep away from brake cleaner!thats why i use the polsih it cuts thru grease like butter and puts a nice protective coat as well

+3 on WD-40 ...............The best thing to cut through the chain lube.

on the subject of chains.. when you clean the chain.. and use kerosene.. are yal using K-1 stuff ? i hope so cuz thats what i just used ha.
