Hey man, i have an 01. I usually ride at 6k rpm and my temp is usually at 170-180. that is unless im stuck at lights and it can get up over 200. Are you always moving with the temp that high?

not so much moving when we are moving and slow down to about 15 20mph the temp starts to go up a lil. when i am doing above 40 the temp stays at 180 190..

Sounds about right then.
Mine is the same way especially if I just exit a highway to slower traffic the temp goes up higher.

I doubt you have anything to worry about as long as your fan kicks in.

My bike runs at 170-180, that's cruising around 40mph and up.

Bikes are air cooled. Less speed = less air = less cooling = hotter bike.

I think he was just trying to give a short and to the point answer, I don't think he was being a dick or anything. The f4i is liquid cooled BTW.

Sounds normal. My 06 runs the same and I flushed the coolant last year.
