actually, the forks are held in place by the upper and lower triples. when you remove the upper triple, the lower triple should hold the forks in place so that the upper 3tree will attach in the same relative position.

people lower the front by dropping the forks by loosening the upper and lower 3trees.

The two brothers looks great with the yellow i have the same pipe but on the dark red F4i just by looking at your pictures it gave me some good ideas for mine thanks

 

.....I am still a ways from entering mine, I won't do it untill I complete the bike. I am outside in the garage right now cleaning and priming and painting a few small parts. In about a week or two I am sending the body out to get painted, then I need to hang them back on the bike, finish thecustom undertail/fender elmin, order new decals, apply the decals, then remove the body and send it out for two more coats of clear. And this is just part of the cosmetic resto.....I am still working on the mechanical resto of the bike with almost 99% all OEM parts.....should be a nice clean 4i when I am done with it. I gotta spray the frame a little later, it has a few scratches and wear marks in it that are bothering me
