is there a stopper of sorts so you know how far down onto the forks the triple should go?

 

taking your triple off is about as easy as it gets. You dont need to measure anything as it only fits so far down due to the screw that it sits on. Its about a 15 minute job. I have the vortex triple as well. its a nice addition.

 

thanks jumpman...that is EXACTLY what i needed to know...i was only concerned with how far down it would fit onto the fork tubes...now that i know that...i have no worries...i know taking it off is no biggie...like i said my only concern was making sure it was back on in the same location and wondered if there was anything i needed to measure to make sure....

if there are "screws" to stop it...how do people lower the front end...are those screws movable or can be reset to a different position...just trying to get info...i haven't taken it apart yet so sorry i don't know much about it...i know how a triple works and all...just not how it's set up...at least not on f4i

 

The screw I am talking about is the big nut on the center of the triple you take off to remove the triple. Lowering the front end is referring to dogbones or straps compressing the forks to seem lower. The triple doesnt move. I think that is what your referring to.

Just got done fitting these up on the bike a few minutes ago......this is a cbrforum exclusive....oh well, I did post it on my forum too....LOl!

good...let's get a few wins notched for the sick f4is out there....most of you know how mine is coming along...it's pretty trick and i got some little things that i will be buttoning up soon...got all new black anno'd bolts coming...a PC'd vortex triple to put on...finish my rim stripes...etc....

i think i am going to end up entering a couple times because i want to enter once this year...and maybe next one the paint gets done..
