Default high temp spray paint for exhaust

I have a M4 carbon high mount on the way. I want to make the mid pipe black to match the can and the rest of the bike. I'm waiting to hear from a friend to see of he can ceramic coat but if not I'm considering some High temperature black spray paint. My other option would be black exhaust tape but i'd rather not do that.

So, does anyone have experience with using high temp spray paint on exhaust? does it hold up? Additionally, if I were to spray paint it, how would I have to prep the pipe so that the paint would adhere correctly?

Thanks.

By the way, as soon as I'm done painting the bike this weekend I'm going to post a before and after thread spanning from my bike totaled to a complete rebuild. Stay tuned!

See if you can pick up some "header paint" rated at around 1300°F/2000°F.
Prepping should only require a thorough degreasing.

i used engine paint on my d&d (to include the flange) and its been holding up fine for a week. im not sure how well it would do further up the pipe though. but to prep the muffler i just used fine sandpaper to rough it up a little but before you do that i would just spray a little up under the pipe and see how it does with the heat and go from there.
