Huh. The seller seems to have several listings with the same description, so hopefully the ones I ordered work

I really appreciate everyone's input. As long as people can see me, i'm not too concerned about their comfort. I'll give the 55w a shot and see what happens...

Quick question for running HID. If i have just the original housing and everything, do i also leave the headlamp reflector the way it is. I've heard that the HID's brightness might bounce off all over because of the reflectors. Should it be left as is, or maybe spray paint them black or something?

(not the f4i headlamp reflectors but to get an idea of what im talking about)

I had considered spraying a bit of the bottom part of each reflector with that "black chrome" spray paint. It is a semi-transparent black paint. I plan to run dual low beams with no high beam and thought that perhaps that may help keep someof the light out of the eyes of oncoming traffic. I am going to wait to see how bad it is first though.

I just wanted to give some props to auto-sky, the ebay seller. After F3 pointed out that I didn't order slim ballast kits, I emailed auto-sky and asked him to refund me my money. He emailed me to let me know he would, and actually did this evening.

I ordered the kit F3 has just now.

yes its does bounce due to the reflectors, i know mine does, it doesn't have a clean cut off line but..its not really that bad i can still see a good distance in front of me you might have to lower the beam just a tad i know i did cause i blinded the hell of out everyone to the point they were high beaming me

I installed the hids Monday night. They're super bright...until yesterday when I started the bike with the highbeams on. Both headlights went out. Haven't diagnosed it yet but I'm thinking it maybe a fuse or relay. Hopefully it's not the ballasts. Any ideas?

I'm sure its just a fuse. If its the 55W's you got I would not start them with the Hi-beams on as you are drawing close to 20A at start-up with both on and around 5A each at operating.
My suggestion if its the 55W's is start the bike hi-beam off then let the lo-beam get to operating then turn on the high beam, then you wont be at such a high in-rush.
