What is this and is it stock or aftermarket?

 

Its a tail light integrator, used to incorporate rear turn signals into the tail light. Aftermarket.

 

I'm going to go a little more in depth with my situation, basically my rear turn signals and brake lights are a complete mess. The original back lights still work but the brake light feature has been transferred to the turn signals, they are supposed to both light up when I press the front brake but for some reason they are barely lighting up when this happens (not even noticable on a sunny day). When I press the right turn switch the right rear signal lights up to it's full potential (very noticable) but the left one will flash also during this time but just barely (same brightness as when I press the brake). When the left turn signal is activated it once again flashes very weak andthe right signal doesn't light, so needless to say my rear lights are completely f'd up.









So to try and solve this problem I went ahead bought a integrated tail light of ebay, honestly guys how hard is this going to be for me to install. My main push behind all this is that I want people behind me to be able to see when I am stopping and turning.

Part of your problem just might be in those ****tiescotch locks connectors.. They will not give you the best connection over time. Try and undo them and twist the wires together and see if your problem goes away

 

People always say that but I have no idea why, everyone sees it when I am out riding the roads, what does it matter? Thanks for the help so far guys.

 

Does anyone know where I can get a wiring diagram for the rear taillight section?

 

Hand signals Dude....I hate wiring problems!

 

Ok I downloaded the service manual and got the wiring diagram, does anybody know what gauge of wire to use? I am going to have to buy some at the hardware store.

 

12/14 ga should do the trick
