Im having the same problem I was before but this time no codes are being thrown. Bike doesnt want to "choke" itself anymore on start up so it idles normally or will idle up. Warms up but when you rev it and back off it lugs the motor and you can smell the gas. Ive checked the service connector once it was showing the code for the MAP sensor which has been replaced and now its staying on when you check codes. I have no idea what to think please help I wanna ride but dont feel safe with it running like this.

My bike did the same thing. I replaced the FPR the other day and bike runs great.

 

Does it need to be a 05 FPR or can it be from a diff year and model?

 

When in doubt, go to a website that uses a microfiche (like Ron Ayers, Bike Bandit), then compare the part number from different years. If they match, then it's not year specific. In your case it is not year specific (between '01-'06), and the parts you need are:

16741-PG7-005 O-Ring
