So i think i got the problem down to the fuel pump on my 06 f4i.. because sometimes when you turn it on, you can hear the fuel cut in an out, so this what my friends got it down to, also, bike will cut in an out, these spark and everything we have already checked. so i call several dealerships and they quote me like 400 dollars, so i am going to buy a used one. but my question is doesnt 01-06 f4i fuel pump will work, thats what i heard that if you buy like 01 f4i fuel pump that it will work with the 06 year? if you could let me know asap guys i would appreciate it thanks

They should be the same. try hotwiring the fuel pump to make sure it is the pump. It could be the fuel pump relay, or it could be the ignition itself. there is a zener diode in the ignition switch that if it starts acting up the pcm will start cutting out.

 

could also be the bank angle sensor acting up that will shut off the fuel pump.I have an 06 that was doing the same thing did a voltage drop check to verify, replaced it and everything worked fine
