at 30 deg wind chill is where i call it quits.

It might not be the same protection but i used normal winter gloves.
Heat grips are nice but in this weather its the wind that hits your knuckles that kicks your *** because ive been in it. If you do heated grips definatly get the shields for it. Or use $10 winter gloves like i do. Problem solved. Your hands get a lil cold but nothing overbearing and i rode 15 miles each way to work.

you should've gotten the leathers...textiles doesn't do well in colds or falls...
i wear a thermal inside + long sleeve + windbreaker + leather jacket...and i wear latex gloves on top of leather gloves...
and yes i do ride in 30s...

I also, was gonna ask the question, why are you wearing a textile jacket.

Another option for the gloves: They sell winter liners that fit underneath your gloves. I'm not sure if they work, but they seem like a good idea.

I had gone through the leather vs. textile, and I had gotten the impression leather wasn't as warm... They're leather gloves. The textile is pretty warm, no complaints about my torso, just hands beating on that cold... I will have to see if I can jsut find some of those grip shields because it's the wind blowing on them taking the heat out... I wish there was a preemo winter only jacket with thick lining, but never found one that was "winter only" everything is multi-function except for the over pant type riding suits... Here was the thread I asked about leathers:

https://cbrforum.com/m_206532/tm.htm

I thought that coincided with other opinions, but maybe not? I see alot of the other bikers who are still out there in textile full suits... I'm not opposed to leather, but I kinda got turned off after tahoe's comments in that thread.
