heads light don't turn on some times

Does the bike have HIDs?
I have a 2004 and at one point in time I had HID headlights in mine. I ran into a 'no headlights' problem with mine a few times because of the HIDs. I put some SilverStars in and no problem since. The starter button sticking makes a difference too.
