Default Headlight question

I did a search but was not able to find an answer to my question.

I'm a first time Honda owner and am not aware if both of the headlights, set on low, should illumniate on my 2002 F4i. Only my left light does at this time, but when I put my high beams on, both sides illuminate.

I get people telling me all the time I have a light out, but others tell me only the left one should be on.

Thanks,

Jon

Also, its not a true hi-beam...its just aimed higher so it projects farther. I ride with both lights on at all times...it can't hurt.

So you leave your high beams on all the time?

I know it's petty, but I prefer having both lights on, it looks better.

I wonder if there is a way to wire them together and bypass having to use the highbeam switch.

Both on for day riding, and low beam for night riding unless roads are empty. If you wire it so they're both on you might want to consider re-adjusting your high beam housing a little, or you'll have some pissed off oncoming traffic if you do night riding lol.

Personally I like the single side low beam look.

Thanks everyone for the advice, at least I know it's normal now.

Much appreciated.

That is correct....left is the regular light, the right is the high beam. I ride with both on b/c I do not want to go not noticed past a cager and I prefer the look of both.

Same here. Just go to a blank wall at night and adjust the high
beam same as the low beam. Both beams (adjusted) make the
bike much more noticable
Some have said that having both on all the time will be drain your
battery. Havent had a problem in all kinds of riding.
