Was he trying to signal me?
I've been riding for about 2 years now and have given my fair share of motorcycle waves, but this one seemed different.
He extended his arm waist high and made small circle with it. Then about 100 yards up the road there was a cop. Was he trying to warn me? Are there different "waves" ???

up and down or circley type hand signals is normally always 'slow down' and in this case rightly so as there was a copper up the road
ive only been signaled at once and it was because there was a cop up ahead, me and my buddy were going around a cornier and a couple guys on bikes were coming towards us, the guy in from put his hand out palm facing down and moved it up and down towards the ground, it was an obvious signal to slow down

In Australia ...cars and bikes flash headlights in a mad man continuous way to warn of cop traps ahead ...
It looks quite funny to see 10 cars coming at you and see ALL there lights flashing from low to high ...
Its very rare here not to be warned if other traffic is around ...

Helmet tap FTW. Had some pretty funny moments involving the helmet tap signal at non-riding times. And also passing the cop that was warned about and watching him tap his head and laugh as a bunch of bikes go by, haha.
