Default Goodbye to my F4i

I'm conflicted. I want an 09 Repsol really bad, but I also have doubts about selling my F4i. I can't keep both. Compared to the Repsol, my F4i is ugly and reeks of gas. But it doesn't burn oil...and it takes 87 octane.. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! what am i gonna deuuuuuuuu?!!!!

I've had it since I was an undergraduate. I passed the DMV driving test on this bike. It is the bike I learned how to do my own repairs on. When I failed at doing the valve job...it took me like all summer..going every detail...during the day and sometimes in my dreams.

Now that I posted it on craiglist, and now i'm almost in tears.

If you're having second thoughts, pull the ad and keep it. You can always sell it later. Probably get more for it during the summer/fall anyway.

But if you buy the Repsol first, you will have an easier time parting with it. Take your time looking for a new bike too. Wait for a great deal to come along, with no pressure to ride.

While your bike may have sentimental values, I'm sure a nice Repsol will bring you new joy, new memories and so on.

I was pretty off and on about getting rid of my past bike, had some good times on it, was my first bike after years upon years of pining to ride but, I felt it was time for a change and, there's always the possibility of return to a similar bike later on in life.

This. I had an old 125cc Cagiva Freccia for over 10 years. It was in horrible condition, fightered, ugly as a troll's butt, noisy, almost no power cause the CTS valve didn't work and in every way useless piece of junk. Yet, when I was selling it i had to email the buyer that I'm sorry but I cant bring myself to sell it.

Enter the CBR, I practically gave it away to a guy I know for a few sodium vapour lamps, air pumps and other waterfarming equipment, no where near the value of it cause I just wanted it out of the garage!

well. it's sold. I got a decent price for it. If the buyer said one bad thing about my F4i, I would have told him to get loss. So now, I'm working out a deal with a 09 Repsol seller. Unfortunately, I already saw the bike in person...and now i can't get that orange thing out of my mind.
