RE: Good springs for fat boys!
dont worry about your back pack.as a matter of fact, If your just riding this thing to school and back, I wouldnt even worry about the springs, like someone else said, the mechanice way overstated the importance of the springrate.
But, if you plan on hitting the twisties hard, then yes upgrade to the proper springs, and dont ride with your backpack .
Seriously, its not going to make a huge difference anyway(your backpack) I can lose five to ten pounds before a ride by just taking a huge crap. I dont think it ever upset my suspension.
I never really felt my suspension working, even stock, until I was really hard in the corners, so dont be losing too much sleep over this.

I am planning to change out my front springs, after going to the track last season, i feel that the springs are way too soft.
under hard braking before turn in, the front would bottom out and start to chatter.
I weight 190 lbs last season, and now im 200. so i deff need a .90 or .95 spring.

Borka, If you are 200lbs with no gear, you may want to move up to a 1.0 spring.

When is say tire wear.My front lasted 8k miles but was chopped bad. With the new setup tires look like new even 3k miles later. No abnormal wear.

I got about 8k and 1TD on a set of Pilot Powers I got last year. I'm doing 2 more days at the end of this week. I'm sure they'll be toast, but I've got good wear. I'm starting to get square in the rear from the highway blasting and 2up riding, but tires look nearly new.

I heard that racetech springs are a bit off.

Luckly my dealer's stocking warehouse had a couple in my kg size.
Their website said i needed a .98 but i went with a .95 ,rear it said i needed a 16kg (14kg is stock).Installed a 15kg(all i could find).Everything setup great. The only issue is the stock shock gets a tad weak(gets a touch bouncer over a bump) during the hot months.
My OEM tires squared up after a lot of riding, fronts chopped on the outer edges..Took a friends advice on tire pressures(he races AMA).I run 36 front and a 34 rear(cold)..Tires hold better and in 3k miles they have a perfect roundness to them(dunlop qualifiers)..
