Now that we got my wife a bike, I would like to have the dual seat, but I HATE the look of the Targa and I am probably too lazy to do the conversion. We'll see what happens. Actually, I think I will get into an RR before I do the conversion.
Very logical, if you don't like the banana seat go for an RR. I just don't understand those that bought the F4i with the banana seat then say they absolutely hate it. There are many other options out there so why buy this bike if you don't like it?

It is amazing how people do a seat conversion and think they're better than everyone else. More power to them if they need that to feel more secure about themselves.

Puck. That last one is a rather odd assumption. I'd like to offer another perspective if a may. There are those like me who simply enjoy a good project with an end result of distinction. When I posted the results of my converstion Voodoochyl responded by saying "Way to make the bike your own". That was it exactly. I know, around here anyway, that there won't be any 06 in candy blue with a split seat and, admittedly, I enjoy that fact. But I certainly don't feel superior to any one else. I leave that sort of immodesty to my bike herself. She's very conceited................Anyway off to wash her now.

Not everyone who does the convertion is like mitch awesome who's handle in and of itself speaks volumes. hahaha

I think Puck's post was directed at someone specific EPY...I'm sure he doesn't think you are a snob . As far as the 'naner goes, I might reconsider if it is only about three bills. I think the cost of an RR is about 10k...big difference. I might be bugging the ****e out of some of you guys very soon...to include my Canadian brother...

If you do do the project, and I'm not suggesting you do so don't let this influence you. I have an extra 01 to 03 stock fender/battery tray, a tail light, sub frame, and even the appropriate comp werks fender eliminator. And you can have first dibs at an excellent price. Again, no pressure, I am in no hurry to sell any of the extra parts I have as I'm considering either the new RR (if it's available in the whie/grey here in 08) or the R6. I can sell the extra parts with the bike in the spring.
