first of all its an 01 f4i, whenever i turn the key to get her ready to run i hear along with the normal fuel injection kicking in a slight screeching noise along with the normal sound, toke it out and it continued with the screeching sound throughout my ride, i am in no way an engine or motorcycle mechanic, have no idea what this could be and any help or any ideas on what this issue could be would be much appreciated one rider to another, thanks

 

so it screeches with the ignition on but with it not running? can you try to locate what area of the bike it is coming from? i dont know what electronics would make a screeching noise....

i remember when my fuel pump primed, and i was REALLY low on gas, it made that noise similar to wat u described.

...so make sure ur good on gas.

 

the chip just makes an unusual sound when the ignition is turned to on while it kicks in and while the bike is running i hear the same schreeching from under the tank

 

if its from under the tank then it sounds like it might be what Dirtytoes said. hows the gas level?

gas level was good, just put a fresh tank in today, gonna see if that ends up making a difference, i'll post and hopefully i can find an answer to this question.
