full exhaust
So I have been thinking about buying a full exhaust. Have been trying to search and find topics on it but not much it is all about slip ons. I am thinking about an akra full system. But I am wondering if it is really worth it. What gains will I see and is there better ways I could ultimately send my money? Thanks guys
There is fairly minimal street gains HP wise from full exhausts maybe a couple HP but it will be smoother throughout the rpm range as long as you get a PC3 with it.
From what I undestand is you won't reap the benefits of the money spent unless your a track junkie.

In some cases you're dropping a good bit of weight. In some cases the bike has a very restrictive exhaust. The main thing is do you really want to pay $1000 for a few horsepower (if tuned). Also keep in mind that some full exhaust systems utilize a copy of the OEM header.
That's why mostly guys trying to get every bit of power out of the motor shoot for this kind of stuff... I'd say it's worth it if you find a smoking deal (<$500). I mean seriously for gods sake, $800 for a bunch of tubes, really?
Now if you have money to blow and you don't want to tear into the engine itself, go for it and make sure it's Titanium.

Well I got a pcIII k&n and a akra slip on right now. I figure I am going to have my bike for a long time so I want to make it nice. I guess I'll just keep my eyes open for the right deal. Best I could find so far was akra full system with titanium slip on for 639. Just didn't know if it was really worth it for the headers.
What other performance mods do guys do?

Full systems arent worth it for a 600. I got a good deal on some used arrow headers so I did the swap to full system. With a dyno tune, I only gained 1/2 a hp on the full system compared to my slip on. so not really worth the $$$ IMO.
The whole point is flow and air turbulence and you'll do better with a system that was 100% designed to work together.
Thats what I thought after i saw the results. I really like the carbon weave on my 2 Bros can and got the header and mid pipe at a decent price, so thats my excuse for peicing it together. I still dont think a full system is as beneficial on a 600 as it would be on a bigger bike
