Fuel tank torque settings
#32
I think I know what it is, the pipe on my tank points to the back of the bike but in the image below, it looks like it should point forward.
Someone has removed the whole fuel connection thing and put it on the wrong way. Maybe when it was sprayed it was done then.
Mine is the wrong way isn't it

Definitely the wrong way round, Jonny mate. Not just that hose though. Looks like the whole assembly is backwards. The fuel return hose with the L shaped pipe should be to the front of the bike. The banjo bolt etc should be to the back of the bike with the main fuel hose running forwards and straight (no longer bent around).
Hope this solves the prob, mate.

It was horrendous to get it back on as everything was so tight...now I know why ffs.
Cheers lads

I have the PDF manual kindly supplied by CaBaRet, looks a pretty easy job once I get the tank off, worst part will be draining it again.
I'm pleased I've found the issue though, I knew it didn't look right.

Yeah, shouldn't cause too much trouble. You'll find the tightening sequence and torque level in your service manual there. Page 5-54.
