Fuel injector cleaner question
Hello all and good day/evening to you. =) I have a question if I may about the purchase of some fuel injector cleaner. I recently bought a 2001 f4i with 30,000 on the clock. I want to run some injector cleaner through the bike however, I am really torn between which brands to get as well as exactly how much I should/would be safe to add. Some of the fuel injector brands that I saw tonight at ORielys auto parts and at Auto Zone were Chevron, Lucas, Gum Out, STP, Valvoline as well as some other brands I was not familiar with personally and can't remember them. The bottle sizes are between 5.25 oz and 6 oz depending on brand and says that one bottle treats up to 21 gallons I think. Then there is the renowned Sea Foam which some really like using and others aren't to crazy about. I don't know how much of that I should add either if steered in that direction instead. I appreciate all of your time/responses in advance if you wouldn't mind offering your opinion on the matter. =) Have a nice day!

I wouldn't do it on a bike, some people do it on cars. OP chevron techron concentrate is a great one, gumout regane is supposed to be good as well, just check their sites or bottle for recommended dosing.
I want to thank all of you for your responses I appreciate it. =) I went ahead and ran a tank of Sea Foam treated gas through the bike on an all day ride and I think it is a bit better? Not so jittery at certain RPMs? I'm going to keep running it through for a bit for good measure. The bike still seems to have some sort of low end hesitation like when trying to take off at the light briskly sometimes until it ends up rocketing off however I can def. feel some kind of bog/hesitation. Nothing over the top or anything. Otherwise it runs like a bat out of hell.
As far as adding the seafoam to the crankcase, I think I would be a little hesitant about it. I would worry that it may thin out the oil reducing the lubricating film? I also think today's oil are so good that I don't know why they even sell oil additives. When was that last time you pulled a valve cover and it was caked in goupe? Even on a neglected motor. The dispersant's and detergents (resist acidity) in modern oil is what makes our oil change intervals so long. Modern oils don't break down like they did 25-30 years ago... even under high sustained shear loads. Outside of moisture, modern oils are pretty tough stuff I believe.

honda recommends changing the injectors, not cleaning them. what people use sea foam for in cars is for it to sit
on the pistons after you flood it and clean the carbon out, basically hydrolocking it.. i think.
im still going to run some through.. i fell for the scam.
