front brakes making noise, pic
hey guys dont judge me on what Im about to ask. recently while using my front brakes they have been screeching, both discs look good except for my outer right disc, as you can see below on the outer edge of the disc there is a worn down path that goes around the whole disc. Im guessing something is stuck between the pad and the disc itself causing this scratch and noise.
But then again this is a 2001 bike with only 6000 miles and the p.o. had never changed the pads before to my knowledge. On the rear and front brakes the pads are not even close to being wore down.
for the noise should I take the outer right pad off and what should I do? lol sorry my english
over time should I replace the pads anyway even though the bike has low mileage and the pads are barely worn?
Thanks and here is the pic:

If you think there is something stuck on the brake pad, then take it off and wipe it off. You can just use a cloth to do this. If that fixes it then you're done.
At 6000 miles your pads shouldn't even be worn halfway down. There's no reason to replace them yet.

The squeaking noise is caused by vibrations between the brake pads and calipers. CRC Disc Brake Quiet Get this and apply it on the back side of the pads. Not the side that makes contact with the rotor! It should help quiet or completely eliminate the noise completely
there are metal clips that keep the pads from vibrating on top of the pad. if it gets bent, or dislodged it can drag on the rotor. remove them and tweak them a little and put them back into place. pretty simple fix....
