Front brakes

Front brakes
Have had this problem for a few months now. Recently when I brake with my front brakes, the brake lever goes all the way to the bar..Ill drive another mile to another stop light, it will take just a flick of the lever to slow the bike down. I can pump the front brake lever and make it so it takes just a flicker every time but it will slowly decrease and eventually it will take pulling it to the bar once again.
I have bled my brakes over and over...nothing fixes the problem.
Advice?

If you haven't changed the fluid in a while, it could be moisture in the lines.
Even though you've tried bleeding them, you might try a complete flush and
re-fill.
It's also possible that you've developed an air leak. You can try to GENTLY
give the banjo-bolts an extra bit of torque. It's also possible to get leaks around
the bleeder-valves, as well. If you have a friend that can put their finger on the dyke.
You can pull the valves and wrap them with teflon tape and then try re-bleeding, again.
Best advice, though, DO NOT continue to ride the bike untill you get this figured out.
Sudden stops are part of the survival game, don't pull a 'Darwin'.
There are several good picture walk-throughs on complete over-hauls. If you think
you're up to it, that would be your best course. It probably could use the attention,
anyway.
Hope this helps, ern

Mine started to do this as well. I re-bled the brakes in a hurry one day and I think I re-introduced air into the system. The other day I flushed them again and took my time. The brakes used to go flat like that while sitting in the garage so I ruled out warped rotors. I just went out and checked the pressure again as the bike has been sitting for a week without me touching it and they still felt pressurized so I'm hoping I fixed it. I've already dumped about 1200 into it this winter and would like to cap my spending there. keep us updated if you find a solution.
