So i am going to be doing some custom blinker mods in the next month. I want to be able to remove the current blinkers and cover the wholes with some sort of plate/ plug. is there an available product that i can get to do this? or am i on my own to fabricate something?

 

I haven't seen any after market plugs, so you may be on your own. You should fab something and make a million bucks!

 

haha that'd be pretty T!ts. i was thinking more along the lines of some bondo an a rattle can. but we'll see if i can come up with anything better

 

I would think if you knew a good fiberglass guy (get to know your local bodyshops), you could come up with something good. I have an '06 F4i with the tailgrab, and have yet to see a good plug when folks want to remove the bar. There is a good solution to both of these problems, but nobody has done it yet. Seems like a frickin' great idea to me! You could make a template out of "glass" and paint it to match. With something that small, you could afford to buy paint from Color Rite, and paint it to match or have someone do it for you (said bodyshop guy...). Do your thing, dog, and post up some pics. If you don't, I will...and I will be the millionaire...

 

Im a total rookie when it comes to fiber-glass work but i am definately gonna try this. i have alot of time on my hands over christmas break so its time to get to work
