Fresh New Installs - WITH PICS - Chrome Stator Cover, Aluminium Screens For Fairings, Rim Tape
Whats up fellas!?
Just finished some installs and wanted to share some comments and pictures of the completion.
CHROME STATOR COVER
1. Bought this off 58 cycle.com. Usually around $200, but got on sale for $134.
2. Install needs new gasket, hi-temp sealant, and patience.
3. Ran into some problems with fit. After 2 seperate installs the cover still had a slight leak. Small amount of JB weld fixed the problem.
4. Wasnt happy about the install problem, but the final outcome looks great!!

ALUMINIUM MESH SCREENING
1. Bought from Home-depot. DIY aluminium screening for windows and doors. $8
2. Install needed, hot glue gun, epoxy and patience aswell!
3. Cut out mesh an 1' 1/2 over the inside of fairings, use hot glue gun for pin points and placement, let dry finish with epoxy bond.
4. Worth the time and effort!

RIM TAPE
1. Bought this from a local auto paint shop. They consist of 2 stripes help together with clear plastic. Looks great, not many people have these because most use the thick single stripe. $14
2. Install is a bitch. Very hard to accurately and smoothly apply tape without waves. From far away it has no effect, but up close you can notice the waves. Not many people notice it and half the time they think its custom paint. lol. All you need is a good CLEAN wheel. and patience. I have to re-do my set-up because the wheel wasnt cleaned properly. Im also going to apply some heat after the install ensure a good bond
3. Good mod. Can be tough to install, but if done right, is worth all the hassel.
