Default fork upgrade

what do u think would perform better. a respring and Racetech gold valve, or a cbrr upsidedown fork?
i have an 01 f4i that i use as a trackdays only bike.
anyone know if the f4i wheel would work with a newer rr fork? i assume the rotors are dif?

I agree. Changing forks would change the factory suspension design and the f4i was raced for years with the factory tubes. I'd go with new internals and call it good. There are a couple of guys on here who have done inverted swaps though who might beg to differ.

Hi,

From what i know it is available... Check out their site... They list it... But they don't mention the price... I think this will be the best solution for your bike...

Michael

id get some 08 600rr triples and forks for a f4i. Theres a link/dogbone that changes the geometry of the suspension to make it a little stiffer with a little less slop and it raises the rear. I stunt but it might help a racer

Depending on the 600RR fork, the rake will not change, and the trail is changes is minimal.

I too agree that F4I were raced for years, but so were steel frames before the F4Is, and carbs were used, etc, etc.

To answer OP questions, a respring and Racetech gold valve will outperform a straight up OEM inverted fork swap; however an inverted swap + respring and Racetech gold valve will outperform the respring and gold valved F4I forks. LOL, that last sentence is close to not making any sense

I have a F4 track bike that only see's the track.

I have all the proper upgraded internals and love the feel. I would highly recommend you do the same and DO NOT swap out front forks for inverted RR forks. That's for posers and stunters to do. The f4i has a very sweet chasis feel to it. Do not play with honda's engineering.
