^ Nice post. I need some clarification though. Are you saying lift your *** directly up and off the seat or shift your *** into the corner (leaning off the bike)?

He didn't mean it in actually like lifting your *** off the seat, but more towards that your *** will not be on the seat when you're leaning off your bike lol =P

You dont actually have to get your *** OFF the seat. Picture the edge of your seat. Now picture where the crack of your *** is. You want to get the crack of your *** on the edge of your seat. Depending on how much you need to shift your weight will be the factor in how far over you need to lean. Usually on the street you wont need to take your whole *** off the seat, just half of it so the edge of the seat is congruent with your *** crack.

And as far as taking the feelers off your bike, i dont see the reason for donig that honestly. They are there for a reason. Your bike has a specific maximum lean angle intended. If you are leaning over half an inch more it seems like you are just asking to catch an edge on your tire. Leaning your bike all the way over and scraping the peg can be a lot of fun but it is DEFINITELY not the fastest way around a corner or the most safe route through a corner.

i HATE scraping hard parts.

1 trackday and i had to 86 the stock rearsets. with the oem rearsets so low, it's tough to get your knee out far enough to have it touch down before the pegs. it also forces you to get your knee way out there to prevent dragging a peg, which limits how much you can lean the bike in general.

though rearsets really changed the body position on the bike, so for bike that double as commuters, you may not want to do this.

What should be draging firstwithacorrect body position- a knee or a peg feeler?
I'd say a knee. The feelers are there to say the bike is basically "too far" leaned. If your knee isn't hitting first, you can extend your body more instead of leaning the bike more (safer).

Exactly. Thats why taking your hero tabs off and scraping the pegs is a bad idea. But at the same time there really should not be many instances where you put your knee down on the street unless you are REALLY going fast.
