Default flushmount questions

I'm looking to finally installing some flushmounts. I had two questions.

1) I know most people here have either hotbodies, protons, or Gregg's. Is there one particular prand that provides better visibility for on-coming traffic?

2) Where can I buy the diodes to allow the flushies to become running lights as well? Home Depot? Radio Shack?

Thanks guys.

Can't really say on #1 but i have the Hotbodies and have had no complaints about visibilty.

And you can hit up Radio shack for the Diodes

i just slapped on a set of proton flushes and couldnt be happier...cost me 90 bucks but they are BRIGHT...they actually serve a purpose unlike most. also they have a wire for the running light and you can chose from 3 different flash styles

checkem out...proton.

I have the hotbodies, and the front visabilty isn't that good. i ended up just adding led's to my fromt vents to make up for it.

Go to radioshack and buy the multipack of diodes for the running light issue. I can tell you it is worth the $4 dollar investment. Also get some crimping connectors. Where forward visibility is concerned, pick up some LEDS from japan, you can mount them in parallel with the fronts( after the diodes) and make combination blinkers / running lights. All you need is the appropriate resistors, which often come with the LEDS for 12V applications. I don't have a link for the PAINT drawing of how to do the diodes but it is accurate, just search for it and it will work. If you need some electrical help with LEDS Give me a PM.

I have the Greggs and like em, had some on my 929 too. If you want I can take a couple of pics from head on, then maybe some with the other brands can too, thats prob the best way to decide. Just hit me up if you want some pics. I can take some and post em here and also email you hi-res ones.
