RE: flat tire repair
Same thing happened to me at 500 miles, what a bitch. You'll hear both sides of the argument, replace or repair. If I were you, I'd plug it, drive it straight to the bike shop and get a new one. If we rode cruisers that didn't see too many side loads, I'd almost risk it.
good luck.
good luck.

RE: flat tire repair
as stated above, i personally wouldn't risk riding on a patched tire. i say "patched" because plugs are crap and most tire shops will not use them anymore because they just plain suck. but, if i had the proper knowledge and know-how to properly patch tires myself, i wouldn't have a problem riding on a tire that i know was patched properly. but i'm no tire expert and i don't trust people i don't know with my life so my only option would be a new tire. i know it sucks. i replaced a tire with only 800 miles on it because of a nail. i could only imagine my frustration with a 2 day old tire. good luck with the repair/replacement.
