Default first post w/ bike pics

im happy with it so far (5days!)

ok now the questions..
got a strange noise and vibration only on light deceleration and stready rpm around 5k.
ive heard of the cam chain tensioner recall, but thats about all i know about it.
this bike has 9k miles, fresh oil, first service.. any advice?
anything a must have? i got the basic power commander, getting an assimilator, clear windscreen..
any advice on brands and/or internet retailors?

thanks.

You should get a rear hugger/chain guard combo piece. Unless, of course, you like trying to clean up lube spatter from the back of your leg and undertail...

It's a nice looking bike. I agree with the comment about hearing the pipe. I'd like to hear what an Erion sounds like on an F4i. Nice lookng bike though!

the erion sounds like any other straight through exaust, its actually quieter than most until you get 8k+rpm.
from what ive heard they make good systems, i really have nothing to compare it to.

so anyone know about the rattle/vibration noise?
you guys gotta know something about the recall! [:@]

Welcome five0addict! BTW, nice looking bike you have. As far as the rattle you are hearing, I would suspect everything you need to know is right here as I went thru the same thing with my 02 CBR 600 F4i(6700 easy miles) that I recently purchased about 1 month ago. I replaced the cctl and all the rattling noises I was hearing are now gone.

Enjoy!!
