Question

Anyone got a list of parts which can be swapped between the CBR600 F4i and earlier / later models?

Go to: Honda Motorcycle Parts

Select the year, then the model, and it will show you the years the part was used. "CLUTCH (01-06)" for example would mean the clutch part should work with models that are between 2001 and 2006.

Hope this helps.

Removing the bank angle sensor, you need to remove the sensor and slice the two outside wires and butt connect them together. CAUTION!!! BY DOING THIS, YOUR BIKE WILL STAY RUNNING WHEN LAYING DOWN!!!

Stock sprocket tooth count: 525 Front: 16, Rear: 46 and the chain is 525 108 link.

Tire Size Front: 120/70-ZR17. Rear: 180/55-ZR17
Generally, street motorcycle tires with a harder rubber compound get better gas mileage but don't stick to the road as well. The softer the rubber compound, the grippier a tire is, at the sacrifice of gas mileage.

Tire break in: 100 to 125 miles of EASY RIDING!!!

Front Suspension has 43mm forks. So use 43mm clip-ons if you buy them.

Battery size is a Yuasa YTZ10S or equivalent. Battery Family Factory Activated, Maintenance Free Battery Type, 12 volts, 8.6ah, Dimensions (in)6 x 3 7/16 x 3 11/16, 7 lbs, CCA 190.

Use powdered graphite to keep your locks (ignition, gas and solo cowl/seat) from sticking.

Set the clock: hold both buttons in clock will start to blink. Bottom one to adjust time and the top to set first blink will be for hours, minutes, pm/am.

The three hoses that are hanging down at the bottom middle of the F4I are the gas tank vent line, gas over flow line and the radiator over flow line.

Neutral safety switch can be bypass by inserting a fuse into or butt connect the two wires that plug into your clutch lever. If the switch is bad, your bike won't start. CAUTION!!! BY DOING THIS, YOUR BIKE WILL BE ABLE TO START IN GEAR WITHOUT THE USE OF THE CLUTCH!!! but nice to know if it goes out and you're away from home.

Sorry for the thread jacking.

Default Headlight Bulbs

1. Headlight bulb size: H7
2. High and Low beam use same size.
3. There is an adaptor attached to the back of the bulb. That's why they look different when you compare the new bulb to the one from the bike. Pull adaptor off and transfer to new bulb.

Thumbs up

Bloody fantastic thread, folks. Perfect for someone such as myself. Answers to all the little questions that some are too afraid to ask in case they look silly.

Hello guys,

Really helpful thread...
Just have one question for a started guy like me.

How can you confirm (double, triple or quadruple) check what version of Honda CBR600 F4i / F / FS, you have and if it is one of them at all?

Sorry for the rookie question, is just after looking and reading so much about it, I´m starting to question if I really have the right model, when I go to buy stuff for it.

thank you,
Trunks

I'm fairly new to the CBR scene as well and have an '06 F4i. This is the only "on bike" designation I could find...

Not sure what the "6" is for at the end; maybe for 600cc?

Hey,

Thank you for the reply Doc Samson, I did saw that label on mine I was doubtful as it mentioned Color and all, I though it was related to the plastic part it self.
But if you believe is right then mine should be CBR600FS1 (what ever 1 means)

So lest see if I can search part for it with more ease

thumbs up,
Trunks
