Default Fan motor died.

Just found that my fan motor has died, rang my local honda dealership and they said a new ones $350 and wont come in to sometime after christmas

just wondering if anyones had a go at mounting a much cheaper car thermo fan in its place.

or has anyone got another idea.

thanks again guys, after posting this tread i`ll looked into it alittle more, turned out to be a wiring issue, while the fan was out i hooked it directly to a battery and away it went, but i had tried direct wiring it while it was in the bike and it didn`t work for some odd reason so i deleted the factory wiring harness and wired it in as manual switch with a fuse and circuit breaker just to be safe.

Wiring harness parts can be bought like most anything else, if you really wanted to put it back to nice and stock. Also make sure to check grounds and fuses (for you or anyone else experiencing electrical issues). Sometimes it can be something stupid simple causing it.
