i had the same problem. i found my problem in the connector from the main wire harness to the front wire harness. try to get a fluke and test continuity from the main ground to all the grounds all the way up to the front. that is how i found my problem. you could always just try to wiggle the connector i was talking about. give that a whirl before you start throwing money at it.

it could also be the bank angle sensor a way to bypass that to see if that is a prob get a jump wire and put it in the two outside parts on the plug going to the harness. i believe they are red and green. that would not cause the lights not to turn on tho.

The pciii is definitely having a problem. But even with it plugged back in normal it wont fire back up. I am gonna get a test light tomorrow and test all that crap with my buddy and hopefully find something. Also call the bike shop that usually works on it. It is justf weird that it fired up for a minute then died and wont fire back

Bank sensor? Sorry I'm super noob lol

is the fuel pump priming like normal now? if so check the vacuum hose on the fuel pressure regulator, it should be dry and not wet with fuel.

if the fuel pressure regulator is bad, it can cause this symptom of starting then flooding and causing a no start condition.

daft question, but have you checked all your fuses ?

If your head light is not comming on as well sounds it sounds like a main feed.

Definitely check the main harness...more specifically the green wire in the one corner...if it's not making a solid connection in the harness it won't run.

I had a very similar issue with no headlights and no fuel prime. I ended up putting an ever so slight twist in the pin to make sure it makes good contact.

Default My 2001 f4i was having same issue.

My 2001 f4i was having the same problem. My bike is set up for stunting the wires up front were relocated and had no issue's for along time untill I moved them around. I could not figure out why everything was working but the fuel pump no more whine when the key was turned on. I was sure I blew a fuse or damaged a wire somewhere. All fuses were good so I began going over the wire bundles looking for obvious flaws and came to the bank angle sensor. It was upside down I flipped it over and no more problems since.
