F4i Weird Gas Mileage problem
Hi everyone.
Well, i just did an oil change, oil filter, K&N air filter and check sparks, after doing all that stuff i take her to get a full tank of gas. Before all of these changes, the gas mileage was about 180 km before the reserve lines show up on the gauge.
BUT now after the oil change and air filter on the first full tank of gas she did 204 km until the reserve show up, that was a perfect change $$$. On the second full tank she gave me 144 kms 'til the reserve lines!!!!! Wtf!!!!
On the third tank she gave another 156 kms and today i'm running out of the fourth tank and she gave me 172 kms 'til the reserve lines.
I have to say the bike runs good and there is no problem at all.
Then what is this F*** problem..
Thanks all...

i tend to get the same results when i change/add stuff. i found a long time ago that when my car/bike felt better i tend to get in it a little harder. more efficient air/fuel/combustion WILL give you better mpg but not if you're giving it more throttle. also your bikes sensors do pick up on the better air flow and the computer adjusts for it. lots of things affect mpg. another is weather. when the weather goes from hot to cold (80f-65f) over night my bikes gets better milage but then evens out after a while.

computer was prolly adjusting a new fuel curve ur first tank... once it realize oh $hit im runnin lean... it pumped up ur fuel in ur a/f ratio

if its the fpr it wont run good, but u can check it just by taking off the vaccum line going to it and seeing if its wet or not. its supposed to be dry.
on the f4i i dont think the reserve is very accurate. especially from what ive heard. i mean, when the light comes on your definitely at or below the reserve mark but sometimes it could have less in the reserve or more in the reserve
you could try looking at how many gallons you pump into the bike, but then again thats not 100% accurate either but its a little close
