F4I w/ F4 fairings?
Hey guys, I'm looking at getting a new bike sometime and an F4I is on the shortlist. I've been kind of wondering though, would it be possible to fit the front fairings + headlight from an older F4 onto an F4I, without too much modification? I like the look of the older ones better. While I know they're similar bikes, I've never had one apart to check for myself.

Sure, you can do a conversion but typically, F4 owners covert to F4i - not the other way around. ;-)
Being that F4 parts are getting harder to get these days, I'd highly recommend that you stick w/ the F4i oem setup. There are many more avail parts for the F4i than F4 out there.
Nevertheless, if you'd want to covert it, you'd have to have the '99-00 F4 front fairing stay, front fairing, headlight assembly, windscreen, etc. Assuming you'd want to retain the F4i's digital gauges, you'd have to adapt/fabricate a way to attach them to the F4's fairing stay. Then of course, the air duct covers would have to be adapted as well.

Nah, I don't even have an F4I, nor do I know if I'm going to have one. It's on the shortlist, but I haven't made up my mind yet. No point in buying parts until I know I'm getting one, or one of the few other bikes I'm looking at. Thanks for the offer though, and thanks, gotcbr, for the info.
