I will just tell him we will race for pinks. That way i get his bike and mine. I liked riding his bike, but truth be told I like my F4I.

 

How do you know he isnt hustling you? Thats a dangerous game to be playing with an inferior bike.

 

You never once mentioned the difference in wieght between you and your buddy, if he wieghs 50lbs more than you thats more wieght his bike has to carry. If its the same or close then he is either sand baggin or he just wont roll that bike like he should be. That 750 hands down will kill your F4i with the set ups your talking about. i new two guys with R1's, one was carborated and the other was an 08 and the guy with the 08 lost every time they raced but he was 70lbs heavier than his buddy!

 

There are a lot of factors, most of them rider related, but that new gixxer should walk on you.
Like rjgraves said, weight will play a pretty big factor, too. I know my one bud had the same bike as me, but weighs like 140lbs vs me at 225 and it makes a noticeable difference.

 

Me and my buddy are the same heigh and weight. I let him that he sucks as a rider. His response was that he didnt want to hurt his bike LOL.

 

+1 on switching bikes and racing. The Gixxer should definitely win if the rider is competent.
