hey there i just got this cbr 600rr exhaust and im looking to adapt it to my f4i without swapping sub frames or swing arms my dad is a very good welder so that wont be an issue but has anyone done it? im thinking of fabricating a heat shield and getting rid of my undertail to fit the rr exhaust if anyone has any pics or done it please give your opinions that would be great

 

Someone did it to a F2. Maybe looking in that section, at his, would give you some ideas.

Your butt will get hot with your pipe right under it.
Originally, it was designed to center the weight. Honda got away from that design after a few years, in favor of low mounted short pipe.

 

If by got away from it you mean they continue to use it to this day on the 600RR then sure.....

 

I was mainly referring to racing bikes. The rc13v and 1000rr don't use it anymore.
But you are correct, they still stick it on the 600rr.
