Default Spicy's Undertail Exhaust

As promised, I began my project today.
An undertail exhaust, similar to the 600rr's
I have a few sneak peaks at my progress so far from my cell phone,
but expect better pictures as the week progresses.

Total expenses so far: 75.00 (mostly for the exhaust, and i may take it back)
There's still a lot of planning to be done, so i'm going to begin that now.

Like i said, it's a sneak peak, and more to come sooner once i finally get the ball rolling.

Stay tuned for exhaust sounds / pictures / sex.

i really hope your not planning on using that flex pipe...

perhaps for a helping hand on design, but if you use it, it wont be long b4 you have a leak

the flex pipe is to get the design prepped.

Spicy, good luck, I prefer a pipe on the passpegs, just needs to be 1/2 the size of the one you have on. I don't know, I just don't dig undertails because of their bulkiness. Why didn't you start the project in the winter?

class is pretty much over,
and the flex pipe will work for now, i have the length measured up and such, and the entire unit is going to be remade and completely welded of better materials.

my dnd pipe got a bit messed up, so this is a temp thing until i get my welds working well enough to make a complete system

ok a bit of an update, and like i said, it's more of a temp thing than anything,
its already loud as hell

i am still getting everything measured up and such,
but here's the update.

I'm going to throw in my mainly because I am bored at work. I actually really like the tips and how the back end looks. I didn't think that I would so I got to give you props for that. Now for a bit of constructive criticism. Your mid pipe going up looks well..... not great. Now I know this is a mock up design but unless you're able to tuck that mid pipe away some how it will stick out like a sore thumb so to do this and make it looks proper you need to use the 600RR swing arm because they have an indentation for where the pipe goes. I don't know if a 600RR swing arm will fit on a F3 though. I am interested in how your project turns out and will stay tuned. Good luck.

I like it but as R Dub stated, that midpipe will kinda stick out. Another guy on here put 600rr fairings on a f2(3?) and had the undertail exhaust and it kind of blends because he put some black exhaust wrap on it. I thought about doing one and maybe modifying the rearset somehow to bring the pipe up closer to the rearset

Spicy couple things to keep in mind

top pipe needs to be at more of an angle otherwise your swingarm will rub up against the pipe each time you hit a bump.

Also remember that those tips are going to get bloody well hot, if you have a passenger they'll burn their legs and the fairings and taillight may also melt... there is some other stuff that ceramic coaters can use that reduces heat 80% from a regular pipe, it's better than ceramic, I'll try to get the name of it.

but it's going good as far as planning stages, wont look too bad

yep, a trial run of the bike showed just that, and i may buy some exhaust wrap and w/e to reduce the heat.

She rubs the swing, but just barely, and i've made a note for the weld to angle a bit more for that.
