It is a quality piece. It looks really nice, but those lights are dim. They look ok in your pics but, on my bike at least, brake lights were hard to tell apart from the running lights. I guess i am just a worrisome person. So I did a retrofit. For people who are willing to spend 100 dollars and have basic technical knowledge, it is a pretty simple task. I am sure that anyone who chopped the stock fender to put in this undertail could do a retrofit. I considered doing the retrofits into the lights and selling them but the cost of materials would have pushed the sale price past the demand for the part. no one wants to pay 200 for a set of taillights lol.

Well i got the bike from the PO with this undertail already on it, so i kinda didn't have a choice. But i haven't had any trouble with people not being able to see a diff. in brake and running lights, but apparently thats just me. hehe Plus, its goin on the track real soon, so im not too worried about it. I have seen alot of cool conversions and such like you are saying, and they are definitely a good idea.

That red 954 swap is sexy, where is a write up on it? Tail lights bolt straight up? A little new to the site. Google didn't come up with any diy pages.

Not really any step-by-step instructions that I have found... You pretty much modify the DIY undertail posted above. Not a bolt in piece... you have to fabricate a mount and figure out what wires go where, but with some patience, a jigsaw, a test light and a sheet of sheet metal... it shouldn't be too hard for anyone with at least a hint of ingenuity.
