Well, earlier this year I had an off which resulted in a twisted front end, snapped footpeg and a busted blinker and if it wasn't for a friends factory toolkit I wouldn't have been able to ride home so that's what's persuading me to at least have something. So far I have nothing. [sm=smiley5.gif]

I believe all years are the same and eBay is the best source. That is where I picked up mine.

I won't ride without a toolkit.

I got My F4i new in may it didnt come with a tool kit. I asked the the dealer and he got me one. Then he found out The new bikes dont come with them any more. It might help but they are really cheap. you should take some basic tools with you. you dont need there kit.

After I read the manual, I looked several times to see where my kit was hidden. I called the dealer and they said they do not provide them anymore. I went down to the discount store (Big Lots) and bought wrenches, allen set, sockets, and a tool box for $25.00. I am interested in the kit, though, if it would be helpful on the road.

I put together one of my own. The only thing special I bought was the large spanner wrench for the rear shock through Honda...I wish they at least came with that.

stubby flat head
stubby phillips
rear shock spanner wrench
5 mm allen wrench
adjustable cresent wrench
mini leatherman tool
flashlight
spare fuses
owners manual
pen
kickstand pad for hot asphalt

I wrapped all this stuff in a torn in half old t shirt to use as a rag if needed. I won't leave home without any of this stuff.

I can't believe that they don't include any tool to adjust the shock anymore.

I can understand that they don't want you to have any of the other tools. They want to you take it to the dealer, but EVERYONE needs to be able to adjust their own suspension.
